You’re almost ready to start writing after WordPress is installed on your website. In this stage, I’ll merely walk you through the fundamentals to get your new WordPress blog up and running. The following step will demonstrate some more sophisticated adjustments you may make to tailor the layout and style of your blog.

The Name of Your Blog

Once logged in, you can access the Word Press blog administrator section by clicking the blue Word Press button. You can edit your blog here in any way you see fit. You should start by probably changing the name of your blog. Click settings at the left menu’s bottom to get started.

You can edit both your site title and the tagline, also known as the subtitle, on this screen. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes after entering whatever you wish in these two boxes. As soon as you save these changes, your site will automatically reflect them. You only need to input your domain name and hit enter in the browser to view what your site looks like right now.

How to Write an Article

Let’s learn how to write your first blog post because writing is the foundation of blogging.

In the left menu, select Posts. To view a larger version of the photo below, click it.

As you can see, a post with the title Hello world has already been made. We don’t need the default post that appears on every new Word Press blog. Just below the post, select Trash to remove it.

Click the Add New link in the left menu or right next to the term “Posts” to start writing a new post.

Ideally, you are now on the post creator screen. You can type your post’s title in the top box before starting to write it in the below area.

Click the Image option and then select Upload a photo from your computer to add one to your post. On the following screen, you can change the orientation and size of the image. When you are ready to add the picture, click open into post.

When you’re ready to publish your post, simply click the Publish button on the right side of the screen.

Putting Your Blog Online

It’s possible that your blog remains displays a Coming Soon page even after you’ve published a post. Go down to general settings and click Launch your site.

Even if your site is already up and available for public viewing, you might still want to make a few more adjustments to it as I will explain later.
